The Institute and its member organizations are working together to reconnect wildlife, land and people by promoting a restoration economy in the Arizona-Sonora borderlands
The complex social and ecological challenges facing the communities with whom we work require innovations that match the territory. In response, several diverse organizations and many other partners with decades of ecological restoration and social justice expertise have coalesced to create a portfolio of solutions that integrate research, teaching, and project-based learning. The Institute comprises a remarkable group of entrepreneurial leaders, academics and practitioners who have the vision to continue their work while inspiring and training others to expand and carry it into the future.
